Project End Target Achieved 83% The ACE Impact Project​ The Africa Higher Education Centers of Excellence (ACE) Project is a World Bank initiative in collaboration with governments of participating countries to support Higher Education institutions in specializing in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM), Environment, Agriculture, applied Social Science / Education and Health. It is the first World Bank project aimed at the capacity building of higher education institutions in Africa. The ACE Impact Project Development Objective is to improve the quality, quantity and development impact of postgraduate education in selected universities through regional specialization and collaboration. In this respect, the Project will support the 11 Recipient Countries to promote regional specialization among participating universities in thematic areas that address regional challenges and strengthen the capacities of these universities to deliver quality training and applied research.
